Despite that tradition of drunken celebratory mutilation, Australian doctors are warning Olympic athletes against getting tattoos during the 2008 Beijing games. According to reports, team doctor Peter Baquie has urged the 478 athletes in his care "to wait until they get home," to avoid Hepatitis B and HIV. Olympians are also being asked to avoid citrus fruit or melons from street hawkers.
